Tuen Mun testing exercise done

The Government announced that the compulsory testing exercise and enforcement operation for the restricted area in Tuen Mun finished today with no positive COVID-19 cases found.   It made a restriction-testing declaration yesterday evening, requiring people within the specified area to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing.   The area covered JC Place Tower 1 in Castle Peak Bay where 380 citizens were tested.   In the subsequent enforcement operation, about 100 people’s test records were checked. Nobody was found to have not undergone mandatory testing.   Government staff also visited around 120 households in the restricted area, of which six did not answer the door. Such households are urged to contact the Government promptly to arrange testing.   According to the compulsory testing notice issued yesterday, those who had stayed in the building within a specified period for more than two hours must undergo testing by tomorrow even if they were not in the restricted area when the declaration took effect.   Meanwhile, the Government conducted an enforcement operation today at Block 6 of On Ning Garden in Tseung Kwan O, which was included in a compulsory testing notice earlier.   It arranged for staff to verify the testing certifications of the people subject to compulsory testing at the building from 7am to around 10.30am.   During the operation, the test records of around 430 people were checked and 11 of them were found to have violated the compulsory testing notice.   The Government has required them to undergo testing within a specified period.
